Meet Arnold Shuchat

B. Comm., MBA, LL.B., B.C.L

ArnoldSchuchatOriginally from Montreal, Quebec, Arnold Shuchat moved to Richmond, B.C. in the early '90s. Licensed under the Real Estate Services Act since 2004, Arnold brings his years of experience as builder, tax and litigation lawyer and business owner to the benefit of his real estate clients.

An experienced real estate industry service provider once remarked, "Nobody ever went to university to study how to become a Realtor".   However, Arnold has dedicated his life to continuously learning.  He holds a B.Comm., LL.B. and B.C.L. from McGill University and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.  He has recently completed the Watson's Governing With Intention Program and the Not For Profit Governance Course from the Institute of Corporate Directors which assists in his efforts as a Corporate Director with the not-for-profit Boards upon which he serves.

Arnold has been awarded the prestigious Realtors Care Award for community charitable work from the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver for two years (at the time, 4 Realtors out of some 9000 members).

More recently, Arnold volunteered to organize a community grass roots movement in Richmond to combat the noxious emissions from a regional composting operation. From a petition, to a Facebook page "Stop the Stink in Richmond" to 3 weeks of hearings and the Environmental Appeal Board, Arnold lead his group to a successful closing down the offensive operation and their work resulted in the highest fines ever procured in an environmental case in British Columbia.

Living by the concept that when two people meet, a third should benefit, Arnold is always open to new challenges which can benefit community endeavours.

When he is not working or spending time with his family, Arnold can be found at either a hockey arena as a goalie or player, or in a yoga studio recovering and preparing for another game.

Real Estate Agency-Representing you in a Real Estate Transaction: THE BIG QUESTION

The first question I get asked is: "What company do you work "for"?

The second question I get asked is: "What areas do you work in?"

In my experience, the really important question that prospective clients should ask is:  "How do you work?" Because, the answer to this question trumps the answer to the first two questions. I work tirelessly putting your interests first and with a view to protecting you at all times to ensure that your plans are achieved with confidentiality, integrity and with loyalty.  The company and area are secondary by a long shot.  The testimonials from past clients and the results I have achieved for them are a full response to the requirements of successful real estate agency.

I live in Richmond, B.C. and have fulfilled mandates successfully in North Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, Manning Park, Richmond, New Westminster, Port Moody, Coquitlam, Squamish and in other areas throughout the Lower Mainland. I have consulted in relation to property in Northern B.C. and even in cases where a mandate may not be suitable have counseled clients as to how to proceed and structure their real estate endeavours.

Buying a home?

You are here because when you think about making important decisions, it is important to you to seek out the best professionals to ensure the best outcome.

When you engage my professional services as a Realtor, you are marshaling a career of real estate experience and my background as a skilled lawyer and negotiator for your benefit. I will guide you every step of the way, protect your interests and keep our discussions and your goals confidential at all times. I will never compromise your interests by sharing your details and price expectations with anyone.

Is it important to you to have your interests be protected and put first? Then read the 3rd party audited testimonials on this site for the comments of my clients.  That is a common theme. When you work with me, you will not be sluffed off to a novice Realtor.  I will be with you picking up nuances and details that many will miss, any one of which might turn out to be crucial during later negotiations.

Selling your home?

Getting the pricing right the first time ensures the most timely sale and prevents false expectations. Clients are always tempted to go with a Realtor who displays enthusiasm and confidence for a higher price.  Experience, patience, a keen understanding of local markets and accurate pricing differentiates the experience you will have with us.
